La temporada de estas frutas sin semillas se prolonga hasta enero. Nuestros productores esperan que, tras algunos a\u00f1os dif\u00edciles, esta temporada vuelva a haber un suministro normal de caquis de buena calidad. Los \u00e1rboles ya est\u00e1n llenos de frutas de tama\u00f1o medio. Si el tiempo no lo impide, parece que ser\u00e1 una buena cosecha.<\/p>\n<p>Staay lleva a\u00f1os colaborando con la empresa espa\u00f1ola Anecoop importando caquis. Sus socios productores representan hasta un 40% de toda la producci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola de caquis. La producci\u00f3n se reparte entre las tres regiones de Sevilla, Murcia y Valencia, y se centra \u00edntegramente en la variedad Rojo Brillante. Esta variedad debe el nombre \u00abRojo Brillante\u00bb al color de la fruta cuando est\u00e1 madura. La pulpa es deliciosamente suave, dulce y de color rojo anaranjado. Adem\u00e1s, una vez maduro, este caqui contiene menos taninos que muchas otras variedades.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Denominaci\u00f3n de origen protegida: Persimon<br \/>\n<\/strong>Las frutas del valle valenciano de Ribera del X\u00faquer gozan de una denominaci\u00f3n de origen protegida (DOP): Persimon. Solo los caquis de la variedad Rojo Brillante de esta regi\u00f3n pueden llevar este nombre. No se debe confundir el nombre con el t\u00e9rmino persimmon, con doble m, que tambi\u00e9n se suele usar para el caqui. La mayor\u00eda de los caquis que vende Staay tienen esta DOP.<\/p>\n<p>Los primeros caquis se esperan para la primera semana de octubre, a partir de la cual el volumen aumentar\u00e1 r\u00e1pidamente.
