The Dutch season is off to a fresh start with strawberries, aspergus and fruit vegtables!

The start of the Dutch season marks the beginning of an important period. With the first shipments of Dutch strawberries are now on the market. And the asparagus season has kicked off. And the first fruit vegetables are available. Volumes will continue to increase in the coming weeks.
Thanks to our own cultivation and close relationships with growers, the supply chain at Staay Food Group is as short as possible. The Dutch season also offers significant opportunities to meet the growing demand for locally sourced, fresh, and sustainably produced products.

Strawberries: a fresh, flavorful start

Dutch strawberry volumes are already on the rise and immediately showcase what the season is all about: flavor, freshness, and quality. They have a beautiful color, good texture, and are especially deliciously sweet. Currently available varieties include Sonata, Sonsation, Elsanta, Fandango, Lady Emma, and Favori, in NERO trays of 8×400 and 10×400.

Asparagus: the season has officially begun

With the start of the asparagus season, the traditional “white gold” is once again available. Asparagus is a typical seasonal product with strong consumer appeal and a clear peak in demand during the spring. Thanks to our close collaboration with growers in the Netherlands and Belgium, we can guarantee a steady supply throughout the season. Our own-grown asparagus is sold under the RijnStar private label.

Fruit vegetables: building a solid foundation
Product groups such as tomatoes, bell peppers, and cucumbers are increasingly finding their way back onto the market. With our own-grown cucumbers and tomatoes (sold under our Enjoy, NERO, and RijnStar labels), transparency and quality in our supply chain are guaranteed.
