The Dutch season is back!

The start of the Dutch season is an important period for us. The first batches of Dutch strawberries are now on the market. The asparagus season has launched, and the first fruiting vegetables are now available. Volumes are set to rise further in the coming weeks. Thanks to home-grown produce and close relationships with growers, we keep the supply chain at Staay Food Group as short as possible. The Dutch season also offers significant opportunities to capitalise on the growing demand for locally sourced, fresh and sustainably produced products.

Strawberries: a fresh, flavourful start
the volumes of Dutch strawberries are on the rise again, immediately showcasing what the season is all about: flavour, freshness and quality. Produce with a lovely colour, a good texture and, above all, a delicious sweetness. The following varieties are currently available in NERO tubs of 8 x 500g and 10 x 500g: Sonata, Sonsation, Elsanta, Fandango, Lady Emma and Favori.

Asparagus: the asparagus season is officially underway
With the start of the asparagus season, the traditional ‘white gold’ is available once again. Asparagus is a typical seasonal product that resonates strongly with consumers and sees a clear peak in demand during the spring. Thanks to its close collaboration with growers in the Netherlands and Belgium, Staay Food Group can guarantee a steady supply throughout the season. Our home-grown asparagus is sold under the RijnStar own-brand label.

Fruiting vegetables: building a solid foundation
Product groups such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers are returning to the market in increasing numbers. Thanks to our home-grown cucumbers and tomatoes (sold under our Enjoy, NERO and RijnStar brands), transparency and quality in our supply chain are guaranteed.
