Early DesireĀ®

EARLY BIRD

The Early Desire is an early autumn pear with a light greenish-yellow skin and a striking red blush. This early bird is one of the first Dutch pear varieties to be harvested and is on sale all autumn. The soft flesh is very juicy and deliciously sweet thanks to a high brix.

Early Desire is the appropriate trade name for the Gepa pear variety created from a cross between the “Baierschmidt” and “Nordhauser Winterforelle” pears.

Together with Red Conference and Dazzling Gold , Early Desire is one of Staay Food Group’s exclusive club varieties.
