Premium high colour pineapple
NEW TO THE RANGE
Staay Food Group is further expanding its range with an extra sweet pineapple variety called ‘High Color’. This gourmet pineapple is harvested later, which allows it to ripen and colour for longer. The pineapple is distinctly sweeter in flavour and more yellow in colour. Because of its deep yellow colour, the pineapple is offered as ‘high colour’ under the house brand NERO Premium.
The pineapple is grown on the same farm in Costa Rica that our regular DULCE Gold pineapple comes from. Over the past few months, extensive testing has already been done on the cultivation and logistics of the new premium high colour variety. Our agronomists from the Staay branch on site are very enthusiastic; the brix values were structurally much higher than for the regular pineapple.
From this month, the sugary premium High Color pineapple will be available in various sizes in the 11 kg open-top NERO Premium boxes. Regular pineapples (both crownless and crowned) remain available under the Staay house brand DULCE Gold in the distinctive bright yellow boxes.
